Step 1: Project Champion submits a proposal via the GC intake form for proposals which have reached the required threshold
~~Step 2: Project Champion tags Grants Committiee in the Grants committee discord channel announcing that the project has been submitted for review.~~
Step 2: The Grants Lead assigns a Reviewer in case a reviewer cannot be self-assigned.
Step 3: The reviewer makes sure that the submission meets quorum requirements as follows
BANK request | Forum Quorum | Forum Vote | Forum Timeline |
---|---|---|---|
<50K | 16 | >71% | min. 1 week |
50K - 250K | 20 | >71% | min. 1 week |
250K - 500K | 25 | >71% | min. 1 week |
500K - 1M | 32 | >71% | min. 1 week |
>1M | 40 | >71% | min. 2 weeks |
Step 4: If the requirements are met, then the Grants reviewer opens a sub-thread for the project so that the GC can discuss/ask questions. A poll lasting 7 days is opened by the reviewer in the Grant Polls thread under #grants-committee. This poll is ideally opened as soon as the submission is in but ultimately at discretion of the reviewer in question
Step 5: Any major questions or concerns are posted directly in the forum post
Step 6: Async voting standards (here) are followed until consensus is reached
~~Step 5: A GC member can request any project to be discussed in the weekly GC call if necessary. This is not part of the agenda by default~~
Step 6: 7 days after the project has been submitted, the Grants lead opens a public 48 hour sesh poll with options: Yes, No, Abstain. If majority of the GC members do not vote for Abstain, then we have consensus.
~~Step7: If majority of the GC Abstains, then go back to Step 4~~
