Grants Committee elections are a seasonal endeavor that use Snapshot and coincide with the season spec work from the Ops Guild.

As such, we must document the process for easily replication and coordination.

1. Identify timeline for submissions, elections, and transfer of power
2. Identify open positions for the committee
   1. Some members may have reached their term limit
      1. TODO: Link to term limit definition
   2. Some members may not be seeking reelection
      1. Ask the GC channel if anyone is stepping down intentionally
3. Create an Election Application post in the forum
   1. Ex: S5 https://forum.bankless.community/t/season-5-grants-committee-election-submissions/3731
   2. Posted under the Governance subforum
   3. Must list the following information
      1. Submission Dates
      2. Election Dates
      3. Term Dates
      4. Application Template
      5. Minimum Requirements
      6. Term Limitations
      7. Job Scope
   4. This forum post should be posted in Announcements
   5. This post will accept submissions for at least 7 days
4. Validate applications
   1. Ensure that all applicants are valid
   2. Determine if any considerations need to be made for lack of applicants
   3. Plan for upwards of 1 week gap
5. Create an Election
   1. Create an Election Information Forum Post
      1. Ex: S5 https://forum.bankless.community/t/governance-election-season-5-grants-committee-election/3871
      2. Posted under the Governance subforum
      3. Must list the following information
         1. List of applicants & their submissions
         2. Election dates
         3. Link to Election Snapshot (edited in)
         4. Link to Election Application forum post
   2. Create an Election Snapshot
      1. Ex: S5 https://snapshot.org/#/banklessvault.eth/proposal/0x6839e485cd6549f62e491da5ed636aa891509a654e97a8d32ce0ec4f36760060
      2. Must list the following information
         1. Link to Election Information Forum Post (above)
            1. Explanation of limitations of Snapshot (character limit)
         2. List of current GC members leaving
         3. List of applicants
      3. This poll will last for at least 7 days
         1. Recommend posting before CC on Friday and ending after CC on Friday (7.5 days)
6. Finalize Election
   1. Once the Snapshot has concluded and clear winners are established, post the results to Announcements
